Brazilian Communist Party ((ポルトガル語:Partido Comunista Brasileiro), originally ''Partido Comunista do Brasil'' ''(Party of Brazil )'' 〔http://uniaoreconstrucaocomunista.blogspot.com.br/2013/08/desenvolvimento-da-luta-revolucionaria-exige-nova-postura-dos-comunistas.html〕 until 1958) is the oldest political party still active in Brazil, founded in 1922. It played an important role in the country's 20th century history. It was one of the biggest parties in the country, maintaining, with PCdoB (Communist Party of Brazil), a unified resistance against the dictatorship, but with the fall of the Soviet Union and the collapse of the communism, the party lost power, and an internal coup in 1992 divided the party and formed a new party, called Socialist People's Party, using the former identification number of the PCB, 23 The youth wing of PCB is known as Young Communist Union. ==History==
